Happy Valentine’s Day – 2016!!
February 14, 2016 by kmabarrett
Did you fulfil anyone’s romantic dreams this V Day, Kevin? I’m currently being ‘friended’ by my significant other, but enjoying it cause he took me to a really nice restaurant for dinner and is being remarkably nice. I’ve decided friendship is a kinder place to be than romance:)
Hi BIB,
Thanks for the visit and comment! LOL!! I don’t know about fulfilment, but my wife and I have had a pretty good wknd so far. Yesterday, she went out for lunch with one of our daughters and then we watched a bit of the NBA All-Star wknd action. My Hil is a big Warriors fan (and even bigger Giants baseball fan). At bed time we exchanged cards and had a little cuddle before going to sleep. We went to church today and then took my mom out for Indian “all you can eat”. Tonight, Hil’s watching the All-Star game and then Downton Abbey. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get the day off tomorrow, so she’ll be working, while I’m at home doing the usual California February stuff (cutting the grass).
I think sometimes, just living a normal life can be very romantic – especially when you get to wake up with your wife, your love and your best friend every morning… But that’s just me.
And, I agree, romance is nice, but friendship (and kindness) is better.
Kevin
