The critical thing is am I dropping from morning after fast date to the next (same). In this case, I had a 6lbs bump up after the feast day and an 8lbs drop after the fast day. This means the weight gain was almost all fluid retention from eating which is shed the following day. However, my hands are bloated today and I am drinking a lot of fluid to try to pass kidney grains. If true, my weight should spike again tomorrow and drop again after the next fast day. My other issue, I was really having a problem with passing a grain. As the day has gone on, the groin pain is less, but not gone. Passing lots of fluids to try to help the passing.

I was hoping for 2.5lbs, so this is very good for almost no effort. I’m putting this down to water weight associated with normal diet (salt & sugar) causing water retention. I still “feel” thinner this morning. No swelling in my hands or feet / ankles. The low is 8lbs down from four days ago. Both are VERY good numbers! I am surprised. These numbers are very similar to the loss from my “traditional” juicing / blending numbers where I don’t eat at all. I woke up to mild palpitations and sore groin (kidney stones / grains), so I will need to drink a lot today. Yesterday, I was very bad with stomach cramps. The was a period of about three hours where I wasn’t sure if I was going to throw-up or have diarrhea. I ended up with diarrhea. I don’t know if it was the juice (V8 – Strawberry / Banana) I drank or just some reaction to the MADF. I guess time will tell. All in all, I feel pretty good. Morning weight: 355lbs. Down 5lbs from yesterday and the same as four days ago (16 Feb). I have started a “modified” Alternate Day Fast (ADF) and today is a “fast” day. Basically, today I can drink coffee, tea, water and juice, but only eat one meal (a large salad) between 4pm and 6pm. I ate it at 4pm (ish). Today seemed easy enough. Tomorrow is a “normal” eat day. I will try to limit my eating to between 10am and 6pm. The “plan” is to start with anything goes as long as it’s between the time frame, and then try to eat “better” (more healthier) and ratchet the time down 30min each month until I am only eating between 1pm and 5pm each “eat” day. Supposedly, this will get a weight loss of 2lbs / week with almost no exercise. As, I will also be exercising, I’m hoping for 10lbs / month. If it is working, I should be under 340lbs by the time Hil gets back from England on 20 April. Starting the month at: 350lbs. Morning weight: 350lbs. I didn’t feel like I slept well. I woke up tired and bloated in my chest and upper arms. I then had an slightly higher number of wee’s before going out on the dog walk. I usually have at least a half-dozen. This morning it was closer to a full dozen if not fifteen. Most of the bloat was gone by the time I finished. Deep sleep: 45 minutes total deep sleep; 2 times, 33m and 16m. 5hrs 46min of total sleep. I am very tired, so I am not sure how “good” the sleep was. I woke up to very strong palpitations and broke out in a running sweat twice while on the dog walk. I then had the same happen twice while just sitting at my PC. No issues reflected on my FB or on my wrist BP monitor. 4.71 miles difference on Fitbit. |
