The following is a quote which recently caught my attention and which I think (somewhat humorously) describes my blog: |
|
“A Miscellany is a collection without a natural ordering relation; I shall not attempt a spurious unity by imposing artificial ones. I hope that variety may compensate for this lack, except for those irreconcilable persons who demand an appearance of unity and uniform level.“ |

— John Edensor Littlewood |
From the introduction to his book: “A Mathematician’s Miscellany“ |

Interesting blog you have here.
Looking forward to reading more of your posts. 🙂
Hi ʞɐ,
Your site looks interesting, too. I’m curious why I was only able to follow on one of them. Do you not have the settings on the 2nd site or am I just missing something? I was looking at them using my android tablet. Maybe that is why?
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Seeing the amount of posts that you have published, it is easy to see that you are certainly quite prolific and enthusuastic with blogging about diverse topics. SoundEagle especially likes that you are “environmentally progressive (EarthFirst!”, and would very much like to resonate with this particular aspect of you with a special multimedia post at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2013/04/25/soundeagle-in-earth-day/
Happy August to you, Kevin!
Hi there!
I tried to access your link, but the response was extremely slow and crashed my browser several times. I will leave the comment on my site in case anyone wants to visit it, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to visit your site. Let me know if you create a 2nd site with less resource requirements.
Regards,
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Please be informed that you should preferably use a desktop or laptop computer with a large screen to view the multimedia contents of my websites, which could be too powerful and feature-rich for iPad, iPhone, tablet or other portable device to handle properly or adequately.
There are also three fantastic animations in the post. You’ll need to install Flash from Adobe.com if you want to see and use the animations in the post.

Hello fellow baby boomer, finding your blog varied and very interesting. Will be following with interest from Warwickshire Birmingham UK
Welcome, VM!! (Or is it Alex?)
I hope you continue to enjoy the site and return frequently.
I can’t say I ever made it to Warwickshire during my time in England, but I did pass through Birmingham a few times. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to see from the freeway… Go figure.
Thanks for the visit and the comment! 🙂
Hi, Kevin. I’m publishing an anthology of some of my favorite poems from modern day poets. I’ve read your poems on this site and found several that resonate with me. I’d love to discuss possibly including some of them in my anthology. Would you be so kind as to contact me at russtowne@yahoo.com? Also, I’d appreciate it if you’d consider spreading the word about this project to other poets and/or suggest to me other bloggers who write poetry that resonates with you.
Thank you!
Warm Regards,
Russ Towne

A well-rounded person, very nice to meet you.
Thank you! A pleasure to discover your site, too.
I’ve found so many other interesting bloggers in your list!! What a compilation of value. Phenomenal! Thank you for sharing your list ;0) Makes it so easy to find even more good stuff!
The honor is to serve…
If you’re referring to the “Tributaries and Eddies”, those are folks who’ve stumbled upon my site and left a “like”. I went back to their site and found them interesting. I review them every six months or so to make sure they are still posting and shuffle them around a bit. Even if they’re not actively posting, I may leave the link if I find them particularly insightful or representative of a group of bloggers or if they maintained a site long enough that I think others may find them interesting. I don’t necessarily agree with what they say on their blogs, but I enjoy their thinking or how it’s in their writing. (I am a lover of ideas and words.)
If you’re referring to the “Ripple Riders”, I think those are more or less the same – just folks who’ve stumbled on to my site. I don’t think they’re “likes” because I’ve seen some who I don’t recall ever seeing a “like” from on any of my postings or pages. So, I think they are just “visits”. In any case, for them, the compilation is not of my doing. My blog has existed long enough for them to find me. Just serendipity in the universe…
Thank you for the tutorial ;0) Except, seriously, thank you. I’m still so new to the technology and software etc. that it’s rather overwhelming. I got a few books on it which are (well, the first half of the first one anyways) proving to be helpful, but there sure is much to learn!
Your site is amazing!!! Love it. I, too, am a ‘trekky’, having loved Star Trek all the way through, except the ‘Enterprise’ series. I enjoyed your excellent review of the new Star Trek movie. I wish there was a way i could comment on your individual posts. Thanks for posting your candid review.
I’m glad you liked my review of the new movie.
I’m not sure why you can’t comment on my individual posts. Everyone seems to be able to. Maybe, you’re not logged in to WordPress, so it seems to not post.
Anyway, good luck with your own blog. “Live long, and prosper!”
Kevin
Hi Kevin, really great work you’ve got! I am working on what appears to be a series. I want it to actually be a short film. Looking forward to finishing the script.
Hey, hello and how are you.
Nephew-Sean Barrett Jr
I request that you look at
my Paul and King Moses script.
I would like to know your email
address so I can send the scripts
to you.
Hey Kevin,
Hope you had a better day today – not too stressful. I’m sure your wife has a nice dinner prepared for you. Let me know if I can assist with anything at work.
Hey Kevin,
Just checking to see how things are going.
