The best things in life are not free but priceless.
    —    Benjamin Lichtenberg
[Tomorrow is the day we elect our next President of the United States.  Freedom isn’t free.  It is — has been — paid for by every soldier, sailor and air man (or woman) who “stood on the wall” protecting our country from all enemies foreign or domestic.  Some “merely” stood.  Some gave limbs.  Some gave their lives.  All so that you could have the right to vote;  the right to choose who will lead us to a more perfect Union.  Regardless of your political choice in this election, I call upon you to honor the sacrifice of those who served YOU.  Get off the couch and go vote!  One way or the other, you will be participating in making history.   —    kmab]

Going to church does not make you a Christian anymore than going to MacDonald’s makes you a hamburger or going to a garage makes you a mechanic.
The hands that help are better far than the lips that pray.

[And posting a flag outside your door or singing the “Star Spangled Banner” before an athletic event doesn’t make you a “good” American.  Try service to your country (military, civilian or community), paying your taxes and voting.  Perhaps the most important – register before and vote in November…     —    kmab]
