Believe It Or Not |

Comment(s): Yeah, this is just ear-candy… This is the theme song from the TV series “The Greatest American Hero“. It was a comedy / drama / super-hero / sci-fi show from the early 1980’s. Although pretty hokey by today’s standards (okay, by 1980’s standards, too), I liked the show. I found it more comedy / super-hero than drama / sci-fi, but whatever. For a short few weeks this song was actually up in the top 10 hits of the week. It’s a fun song and it brings back memories of being in my mid-20’s and watching a lot of silly shows on TV. And, “Believe It Or Not”, the show was piloted for a re-boot in 2018, but didn’t make the cut (with ABC). Oh, well… With modern special-effects, who knows? It might have been decent… | |

Who Could It Be?

oh, i remember this song and show, both. i saw it as more of a comedy too –
Same here! I bought the series on DVD and started viewing and reviewing (on this blog) years ago. I got quite a bit into the series and then one of the disks was bad. I was so put off, I never went back to see if any of the other disks worked. It was part way through the episode where we find out the star / current “hero” wasn’t the first human given the suit. The previous one started out a “hero” and then got greedy. He made a fortune, but then the aliens found out he wasn’t using the suit for “good” and … Yeah. Dead DVD, so you can see why I was ticked off. The first guy knew about all the suit’s powers because he’d read the book which the current hero had lost in the pilot episode. Anyway, I believe the series is online somewhere, so maybe I’ll look it up to see if I can finish the series. (But don’t hold your breath…)
