A woman is worth the sun
If her smile is just as bright,
Reaching out to comfort
And warming one just right.
A woman is worth the clouds
If her spirit is just as light,
Billowy and tenuous
And lofty in its flights.
A woman is worth a rose
If she can share her love,
A fragrance which precedes her
A touch but not a shove.
A woman is worth a book
If she will share her life,
The joys and hopes she has held
The struggles and the strife.
A woman is worth a dream
And working to achieve it,
You may never – ever – capture it
But at least she helped you dream it.
A woman is worth your love
Your life and all you own,
If when you’re in her arms you feel
That you are safe at home.
Kevin..have you investigated any keto diets? they work. peace, and continue…
Hi BITD,
Thanks for the visits and for leaving a comment.
Yes, I have tried a “keto” and “paleo” diet. I only tried them (each) for relatively brief times (4 weeks and 3 weeks respectively). They work (moderately), but I’m no longer the “BIG” meat eater I once was. I still enjoy meat and have it with most meals, but I rarely have an exclusive meat meal anymore. I do try to avoid tons of processed carbs (breads and cereals), but I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies. I could never do without refined / processed carbs, though, anymore than I would choose to go without meat. All things in moderation…
Kevin
Love the book and final stanzas. Great job, K.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
Challenged me to be a worthier wife.
The fact you felt it that way means you’re probably already pretty worthy. I’m sure your hubby agrees. 🙂
Very nice poems… keep it up.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope you enjoy the rest of my blog, too.
