my fav glen song
Hi Beth,
My two favs have always been: “Gentle On My Mind” and “By The Time I Get To Phoenix“. I flip between which is my FAV – fav. This song was way back in the pack. Then a few years ago, I watched “Life On The Line” with John Travolta and I had one of those epiphany (“Oh, now I GET it!) moments. The thing about Glen Campbell is he had so many well known songs which were not quite “HITS”, but were still played a lot – and he had a long career. Now, I kind of want to go watch the movie again. It’s not great (very predictable / formula), but it still works and it points out another of the many dangerous occupations we almost never think about. (Kind of like the ending of “A Perfect Storm“, where they talk about the number of dead fishermen.)
Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed the song. Hopefully, it brought back some good memories.
