a good attitude
Hi Beth,
Indeed!
Way back in the mid-70’s, while I was stationed in Germany, an African-American friend (from the South) heard me listening to Motown and suggested I should listen to some Gospel music. He turned me on to “The Mighty Clouds of Joy”. Unfortunately, they were already at the end of their career together, but I got to enjoy them for a little while. With exceptions, I’ve never been able to get “into” Gospel music (Country or Black). I’m not sure why that is. I thoroughly enjoy the movies about the genre (“Sister Act” and “Joyful Noise”, etc), it’s hard for me to find songs (ear worms) which “capture” me. There are a number of songs we sing in Mass, which do this, but I’m not sure if that’s not just cultural indoctrination from childhood. (LoL)
As always, thanks for the support and for leaving a comment!
