To be an atheist requires an indefinitely greater measure of faith than to receive all the great truths which atheism would deny. | |

Yes and the mere fact they oppose a God proves there is one! 🙂
Hi MMA,
I don’t think atheists oppose God as much as they oppose the belief in God. I also don’t believe their opposition to belief is “proof” there is a God. As a former believer turned adamant atheist, turned back-sliding agnostic, and now turned believer again, even in my most fervent moments (well, okay, years) of atheism, I never believed the world was evil or that my existence allowed me to be evil (to oppose God). It was merely a time when I could see no practical benefit to a belief in a non-provable (scientifically speaking) entity. It has been the re-emergence of my personal faith in God which has allowed me to understand that there is personal benefit in belief itself which transcends “practical benefits”.
In the words of Stuart Chase: “For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don’t believe, no proof is possible.”
My faith is sufficient – “as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord…”
🙂
I love that and so is his grace! I like that! Well I do believe you know then best how someone feels. I’ve always believed and known never doubted for a second I’ve always been ill since I was small like my girl and that belief gave me strength. I must say she challenged that belief and I was and am fine with that but she came back strong so regardless of how I feel God simply is! 😄😄😄
