I had to think about this one for a while, never having heard it before now. I do see the connection after consideration but it does sound like a strange connection to link absurdities and atrocities.
Hi Marie,
As people of faith, we don’t believe God is an absurdity and while we can not understand God’s plan, we only hope the atrocities we see are not inherent in the plan (God’s will).
Please remember that I do not always “currently” believe the quotes I post. Sometimes, I simply feel they express a thought better than I could.
This quote appeared in my journal back when I had recently completed reading “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee”.
While I am a person of faith, more now than ever, I must admit to having wondered more than once in my life: “Where was my God while this was happening?”
The only “answer” is that while I can feel God’s presence in my life, I can never hope to understand God’s plan.
Thanks for the comment!
