I remember Mr. Murrow with fondness. Hearing him over a cheap squeaky radio was no pleasure, but he could usually be believed.
I grew up listening to his “I can hear it now…” recordings playing on 78s. It was one of the best ways I can think of to learn about history in the making. Listening to radio while growing up must have been a wonderful time for imagination!
