We hope from – even demand of – our reading that it deliver us from the tyranny of the mundane. There is more to life than these four walls. And the soul sings – in reader and writer – to envision something larger behind that corner up ahead. | |

My ears approve the behind – less so the around. And it subtly conveys the picture I wanted to paint of the increasing perspective you get on what is not readily visible as you gain distance (from the particular angle you approach that corner). Hope that’s not too unclear. Thx for asking, for thinking as carefully about my words as I do, K. You’re amazing.
Interesting. To me, “behind” implies “hiding”, while “around” implies “anticipation”. I had not thought of “perspective”… 🙂
I see (pun intended) anticipation in “behind” as well. Just love your thoughts, Kevin.
🙂
Thank you. =)
🙂
I am curious why you used “behind” instead of “around” the corner. Was there any particular reason? (Just asking…)
