I agree “we” need to change it….
though I fought tooth and nail against the setting administration….
it was my honor to serve, as both my parents and most of my family, it is just something we knew we were suppose to do..my son has been in 16 years, with 5 tours to Iraq and now headed to Korea again…
as for government job…hmmm I am a Viet Nam vet, and I lasted 10 months after I got out and went to work for the Federal Department of Highways…
just not meant to be inside at a desk…I drive heavy equipment and have always worked in men’s traditional jobs…I was in the last battalion of WAC’s
no more after us…learned alot grateful for life…I was with Home Depot for many years….from gardening to receiving to manager….now I create Natural habits and Faerie gardens ….and live very simply ….I enjoy life again… LOLs…
as for my sister she can’t afford to retire…but her health and sanity is worth more than butting heads with brass at Randolph AFB….any more I think…
what a crazy world we live in now…sad…state of affairs…
I wonder if there is anyone strong enough to stand up to all this mess…
you take care…

I’m curious. Why did you fight “tooth and nail” against the current administration?
my late father-in-law was Moslem…
i have 37 years experience in a Moslem family…
not all people who think obama is a Muslim is a conspiracist or crazy or lying…if people listen to him
really listen to he is telling you what he has planned for America…
It doesn’t really matter does it…they are there…
sorry I don’t usually talk politics…these days I see so many bold face lies on both sides of the fence
I apologize if I am out of line with my opinions…
please feel free to delete my thoughts
Take Care…

I’m afraid I still don’t understand. Are you saying you didn’t support him because you are a Muslim or because you believe President Obama is a Muslim? I also don’t understand what you feel he has planned for America. Other than the observation that he is firmly in the pockets of big business and Wall Street, I’ve not seen or heard much which I disagree with. (Well, I completely disagreed with the “surge” in Iraq and leaving the troops there for almost four extra years, “too big to fail” banks being allowed to continue, and a bunch of other individual policies, but nothing that would make me EVER consider handing the keys to the White House back to the Republicans – particularly Romney/Ryan.)
Anytime you feel I misrepresent a fact or “bold face lie”, please call me on it. I will evaluate your comments and proof and 1) change my mind, or 2) point out why I think you’re wrong, or 3) simply agree to disagree.
You take care, too!
thats okay most don’t understand me and my thoughts…..
I am not of the Muslim religion…I respect their ways
not all, but it is their path in this life….
Take Care….

First, thank you for your service!
It’s too bad you were not able to find a position where you were able to feel comfortable and be able to contribute. Having said that, there are lots of jobs which are just not a good fit for everyone. Trust your instincts (but I hope you’ll reconsider government employment in the future).
I’m glad your sister is in a good enough place that she feels comfortable with her choice. Many of us simply do not have that option. Which is why a furlough is hard on the average civilian employee.
“We” let it get this way. Now “we” have to change it!
Thank you for the comment and you take care too.
