Only some people only use the teachings part of the day. The rest of the time they’re as bitter and nasty as atheists.
Hi GP,
Actually, from my experience, it’s been the fundamentalists (Christian and Islamic) who have been “bitter and nasty” – not atheists. For most of my adult life I was either a practicing agnostic or atheist. I was raised a Roman Catholic but left the Church in my teens (over faith and hypocrisy issues). It’s only in the last 20 years that I’ve become a consistently practicing (weekly Mass and Sacraments). I initially tried believing (again) in the 1980’s, but lost faith when John Paul II was Pope. The child abuse scandals of the Church have most recently shaken my faith in the institution of the Church, but surprisingly (to me) they have not shaken my faith in a loving God. And, so, I still attend weekly services and practice my faith as best I can conceive it.
As always, thanks for the support and for leaving a comment.
