Giants Advance To 2010 World Series!!!

In a tense Game 5, here in San Francisco last Thursday night, the Phillies kept hope alive by winning (6 to 1) on a number of defensive errors by Giants players.  Pitchers on both sides played well, but the Phillies always seemed to have the answer when trouble called.  Fortunately, it seems the Giants used the game to get most of the errors for the series out of their system.
Giants Defeat Phillies to Move On to the 2010 World Series!!!
The teams returned to Philly with the Giants up 3 games to 2 and needing a win in only one of the last two games to advance.
Today’s Game 6, did not start out promising, with the Philies going up 2 to 0 in the first inning and then carrying the lead through the 2nd inning.  In the 3rd inning, the Giants tied the game and it settled into a pitching duel with both sides getting opportunities but neither side able to seize the day.
In the eight inning Juan Uribe managed a solo HR and the Giants had a 3 to 2 lead which the closer – Brian Wilson held on to through the bottom of the 9th.
A superb, tortuous, come from behind game!! A superb, hard-fought, tortuous 4 wins and 2 losses National League Championship Series against a terrific Philadelphia team.
And now, on to the 2010 World Series against the Texas Rangers!!!  The Giants have the home field advantage due to a NL victory in this year’s All-Star Game.  So, the first two games are here at home.
Go Giants!!!  I AM ORANGE INSIDE!!!
It’s been an ORANGE October and it looks like it’s going to be an ORANGE November too!!
